Bulb planting adventures.

I bought some awesome black & white calla lily bulbs at Costco this past week. I realized soon after that I had nowhere to plant them. Soooo we made a trip to Lowe's & we bought a window box and a deck hanging kit. Yup. We're awesome. And by "we", I mean "Kacee" because she had to hang it.

We used Miracle Grow Moisture Control soil [that's my herb plant in the background: chives, parsley, dill, basil, and something I have no idea about] & planted 4 of the 6 bulbs in the window box.

This is what they're supposed to look like when they bloom. Let's hope for them to be even HALF that pretty.

I can't wait to start seeing blooms! Hopefully, as it gets later in the day, the sun will be able to hit the balcony. The white ones don't need as much sun as the black ones, but they're all in the same place, so hopefully they'll all bloom. Kacee has grown up gardening, so I'm hoping her green thumb will rub off on me.

Cross your fingers... and toes. I'll need it.
